Terms of Service

Last updated 9 July 2026

About these terms

These terms cover your use of this website and the mobile locksmith services provided by Locked In Locksmiths (“we”, “us”, “our”), based in Cedar Creek, Queensland. By booking a callout or using the site you agree to them. They are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and nothing in them takes away rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Callout fees

  • Standard callout: $60–$80 on weekdays during business hours, priced by distance from Cedar Creek. The exact fee is confirmed on the phone before we set off.
  • After hours, weekends and public holidays: a flat $120 callout.
  • The callout fee covers travel to you. The work itself is quoted separately, on arrival, before anything starts.

Quotes and approval

Every job is quoted on arrival, after we have seen the actual lock, door or vehicle — and no work starts until you have approved the quote. Quotes are valid on the day they are given. Prices shown on this website (including the typical all-in job figure) are indicative guides, not fixed quotes; the on-arrival quote is the binding one. If extra work is discovered mid-job, it is quoted and approved the same way before it proceeds.

The free-if-unsolved guarantee

If we attend and cannot solve the problem you called about, the callout fee is waived — you pay nothing for that visit. That is the whole guarantee, and it applies to every callout. To keep it fair, it applies to the problem described when you booked: it does not apply where a job is cancelled after we have set off, where no one entitled to access is present at the address, or where you choose not to proceed with a quote for work we are able to do. Work you have approved and we have completed remains payable as quoted.

Proof of identity and entitlement

We only open, rekey or cut keys for people entitled to that access. Before security-sensitive work we may ask to sight photo ID and reasonable proof of ownership, residency or authority (for example, a driver licence, lease, rates notice, vehicle registration or the owner’s written authority). If entitlement cannot reasonably be shown, we may decline the job — in that case the standard callout fee still applies to the visit, since the guarantee covers problems we cannot solve, not access we must refuse. How we handle the information sighted is covered in our Privacy Policy.

Payment

Payment is due on completion of the job, at the property or vehicle, unless something different has been agreed in writing beforehand. The amount payable is the callout fee plus the quote you approved on arrival.

Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law — including that services are provided with due care and skill and are fit for purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies those guarantees. To the extent the law permits, our liability for anything beyond those consumer guarantees is limited to resupplying the affected service or paying the cost of having it resupplied.

Using this website

You agree to use the site lawfully and not to interfere with its operation or attempt unauthorised access. Unless otherwise stated, the content, design and code on this site are owned by or licensed to Locked In Locksmiths and may not be reproduced without permission. The site is provided “as is”; we do our best to keep information current, but service availability and response times always depend on the honest ETA given when you call.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top reflects the latest revision. The terms in force when you book a job are the ones that apply to it.
